Hi my name is Gil Forster.  I began working in the flooring industry in 1998, working for a contract flooring company in Sheffield. It was there I learnt the skills of the trade, carrying out various training courses and gained my NVQ Level 2 in Floor covering. The company covered all aspects of commercial and domestic flooring so I gained a fairly extensive knowledge of flooring in my time at the company.

After leaving the company I went on to form GF Flooring in 2011.  In the beginning I was mainly sub-contracting to national flooring companies working on many large and small scale projects, often in charge and over seeing the project from start to completion.  On new build projects work has to be carried out to a very high standard to meet building regulations and the architects specification, so from the start of my career top quality work was the only option.

I began the more domestic focused side of GF Flooring in early 2017 as I felt at 35 years old I was getting a little old for the pace and demands of the contract side and decided to focus more on the finer details of personal customers needs rather than the big builders demands.  Having the wide range of knowledge and experience of all aspects of floor covering I have options available for all problems encountered during the installation of your new flooring.
